How to Configure VPN in Linksys Router?

Firstly, open the browser in your system and type the IP address of your router in the search field and it will direct you for a username and password.
Then select the ‘Security’ tab and click on ‘VPN’ and then select ‘IPSec VPN tunnel’ from the ‘Tunnel entry’ list box.
Now in the list box enter the tunnel name of your choice.
After entering the name, in the ‘Local secure group’ section, select ‘Subnet’ from the list box and then enter the internal IP address. Normally internal home networks are 192.168.0.1 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
Now in the ‘Remote secure group’ section, select ‘Subnet’ from the list box and enter the IP address of the gateway. Typically it uses 192.168.2.0 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
Then in the ‘Remote Secure Gateway’, select ‘IP Address’ and click ‘Auto (IKE)’ located below the ‘Key Management’ section.
Now in the ‘Encryption’ and ‘SHA1’ section, click 3DES for authentication.
You have to make sure that PFS is enabled in the section and type the pre-shared key password of your choice.
In the end, tap on ‘Save settings’ to save the changes.
