How to Check local IP Address of your Linksys router for Different Operating Systems?

The router has changed the way we access the internet, now the internet connectivity has become more secure and fast. You need to check the local IP Address of your router because it is used to access the router’s web-based setup page also it the default Gateway that is configured on your computer’s Ethernet adapter. For Windows 10:

  • On your computer, click the search on and enter “cmd”.

  • On the new window, click Command Prompt.

  • In the Command Prompt window, enter "ipconfig/all" then press ENTER.

  • You local IP address will next to the Default Gateway section.

For Windows 8/8.1:

  • Press the Window key on your keyboard, type “cmd” and then press enter.

  • In the Command Prompt window, enter “ipconfig/all” and then press enter.

  • Check your local IP Address by checking Default Gateway.

For Windows 7/ Window Vista:

  • Click on the start button on your computer, in the search box enter “cmd”

  • Now click on “cmd” icon.

  • In the Command Prompt window, enter “ipconfig/all” and then press enter key.

  • Your local IP is in front of Default Gateway.

Windows XP:

  • Click on start button then click on Run.

  • Enter “cmd” then click OK.

  • In the Command Prompt window, enter “ipconfig/all” and then press enter.

  • Your IP is visible to you corresponding to Default Gateway.

Mac OS:

  • Click on the Apple icon then select the System Preference option.

  • Under the Internet & Wireless, click on the Network icon.

  • All three Mac computer IP Address, Subnet Mask and the router’s IP address will be displayed in the Network window.
